Tech Review – TAPiTAG a digital solution to do away with paper business cards. #TAPiTAG #Tech

We’re all so familiar with the humble business card, although lately maybe not so much and now that things are slowly getting back to normal, we’re probably placing orders to get some new business cards right now… They have been a staple in the business community for years to convey information to customers, but you have to come up with a design or pay someone to do it and from past experience the more you add to the card, the quality of the card, the costs add up and you can only order a certain minimum amount and that’s annoying and time consuming and can be expensive and with the environment in mind which I’m not going to talk about here, you save the planet too..

TAPiTAG has the solution here which is just a win-win for everyone and it is cost effective that you can design your card add what you like and have a one stop shop to pass all your information in one go how many more could -ask you ?? It’s a simple solution to end the need for business cards that you may be carrying around in your car, have boxes of them in your office and so on and it fits in your wallet or a tag you may have on your device is simple, effective and well executed.

How it works

There’s no app required to get started which is nice for a change and it uses NFC technology. NFC has been around for years and we have been slowly embracing it here in Ireland for a few years and now we are seeing the benefits of its usefulness and most of today’s smartphones have it built in. You just tap the back of an NFC-enabled phone and the job is done, on iPhones you tap near the top and on Android devices you tap in the middle.

You can create your account on the phone or on the desktop, there is a QR code on the card which you can scan and once you are there you can then modify it to suit your needs and adapt it to your needs.

Will it work with phone cases

A question I’ve been asked many times and from my own selection of phones and cases here, there was no problem even with leather and thick cases like otterbox.

Is the cost worth it

You’ll have people complaining about the cost of any technology, but when you see what these products do and how easy life is and the cost savings over time, even for the average Joe, it worth it, people who meet networking at company events and trade shows and more will see how awesome this product is and the fact that you can customize them to your needs makes it an easy win for all the world. The tag will cost 14.99 and the card 24.99 there’s no need for dirty paper and with things as they are it’s a contactless solution that benefits everyone.
